NEW UPDATE

My Thesis for this year is now posted on my site... The Kindredd Saga "Prologue to Chaos" short film (actually a quick trailer of the Saga). There is a new style for the feature proposal as well as a complete redesign of all the characters. 90% of this short piece was done by me, the rest i had help with friends coz of trade agreement that i do stuff for them, and they'll do stff for me. tho some of the stuff the contributed wasnt included in the film, they were still credit as per acknowledgements. The piece was heavily post effects, from the 2d environmental fx, matte paintings, and color corrections. All the 3d are done in MAYA 6, 2dPost done in After effects and Combustion. The 3d side was rendered using mental with final gather and occlusion shader pass, also used the beta subscatter shader now included in maya v6.5. I also used timeremapping softwares to retime certain scenes and added true motion blur during post. I'm a technical director in both art and cg process, the purpose of this piece is to show that u can produce a quality cg with averaging out the art and technical aspect of the film. I learned a new style of prodution pipeline that can help new cg animators produce a full high quality film with just managing the pro's and con's on both the CG and art aspect of the production. This new pipeline will be introduced in the new short for kindredd with the use of all the full campabilities of all the artist who will be working in the project. Shorts cuts will be treated delicately as possible, technical complications will be watered down to the level of acceptance. Anyway, all the feedback for this short piece was very comlimentary. Thats why i've decided to do a full length feature story of kindredd. The new pitch will be tricky but, it will be revolutionary when it gets funded. ^__^
